How often should a private tennis court be cleaned and maintained?
For private residential courts in Melbourne: one thorough clean and maintenance visit per year is the minimum. Courts used heavily, or shaded by large trees that encourage moss and algae, benefit from two visits. We'll recommend a schedule based on the court's surface type, usage, and environment during the site visit.
What does a maintenance visit include?
Pressure cleaning, moss and algae treatment, sand grooming (synthetic grass), line marking inspection and touch-up, net and post check, fencing check, and a written condition report. SWMS documentation and certificate of currency are provided for institutional and estate clients.
Do you offer annual contracts?
Yes. Most of our maintenance clients are on annual contracts. We set the visit schedule in January, contact you before each visit, and invoice after the job. You don't need to remember to book. That's the point.
Can I book a one-off clean rather than a contract?
Yes. One-off cleaning visits are available. The annual contract rate is lower per visit and removes the need to rebook each time, but if you'd prefer to start with a single visit, that's straightforward. Note it in your enquiry.
What is the difference between maintenance for acrylic and synthetic grass courts?
Acrylic courts need pressure cleaning and moss treatment. The surface is impermeable, so standing water and organic matter sit on top. Synthetic grass courts also need annual sand grooming to redistribute the infill and prevent the surface from hardening. Both need regular moss and algae treatment, particularly in shaded inner-east gardens.
Do you provide SWMS and insurance documentation for institutional clients?
Yes. Safe Work Method Statements and certificates of currency are provided as standard for schools, clubs, and estate management clients. If your organisation has specific documentation requirements, note them in your enquiry.
